working for The Lord

Colossians 3:22-24
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

It amazes me how God can truly meet you right where you are!!!  On my way to serve in the church nursery today, this verse hit me.  It's so very true. I've posted recently about how bored and tired and mundane my life seems to be sometimes, but I am very thankful for it all and blessed.  But, I was reminded again today that I should be serving with a grateful and happy heart - for I am serving the Lord. I am molding little people who will hopefully accept Jesus and do mind blowing work for His kingdom. How wonderful is that!?!  And, if you know me at all, you know that I am SO looking forward to meeting my creator.  As all of this was flooding my brain the song 'I'll Fly Away' was on.  Serve God daily - You will meet Him soon.  True joy for me this morning.
