mother's day

& braxton's day.

he told me i had to share. :) don't we anyway?!?

david surprised me with a spa day on friday afternoon! i was shocked and SO appreciative. he is a GOOD man! the problem??? it never lasts long enough.

saturday my sweet hubby had to work, so we (the kids & I) spent a few hours with my sister and her family.

sunday was hectic (as usual). my darling man made me breakfast while i sewed (yea!) i volunteered in the church nursery and then went to rockwall to enjoy a pedicure with my sis & mom. it was nice, but the place was busy (imagine that)...so we weren't able to really spend any time together. afterward, i went home and gathered my clan and we went to my dad's. we visited, ate, played and came home! it was a good-busy day.

life

life is so busy! i really keep my commitments to a minimum (i feel); yet, life never seems to slow down. raising children, acting as a referee, sewing, cooking, cleaning, blogging, facebooking, having friends over, tutoring....there is never a down moment it seems. just when i think we are finally going to sit, rest, play, and enjoy family time it never seems to be that way. maybe it's because we have three young children. maybe it's because i stress over almost everything. maybe it's because i am never able to settle. i don't know! there are so many things left unfinished in my mind! it's always something - a sewing project - cleaning - a book/magazine i want to read - yard work - laundry - a friend i want to call - toys to pick up - closets/cabinets and rooms to organize - exercising i need but don't do - cooking - it never ends! how do you do life? do you always feel unsettled? busy? how and when do you find the calm? comments/suggestions are appreciated.
