We're Moving

Don't leave without me!!! Bye Bye, Manor! Thanks for the best year of my life :) Yes, it's true! We are moving back to Dallas/Rockwall in 2 weeks. We have NOT sold our house - prayer request!!!! We will be living with my mom until this house sells. Our 3 4-legged family members will be living with my mother-in-law until we find a house in Dallas.

It's official

I'm "IN" my 30s! Today I turned 31 - WOW.
I remember when my mom asked when I would be able to reach the light switch, and my reply was, "When I'm 30". I can finally reach the light switch now (barely)!

I have a beautiful husband and a precious son. God has blessed me throughout these years!!! Thanks to all of you that sent your love, prayers and wishes today.

Nothing sweeter

There is NOTHING sweeter: than knowing God gave US life! God GAVE his child, Jesus, to us as an example and then GAVE his life to wash away our sin and glorify The Father! God is our Heavenly father! (what a parent) God reaches out his arms to hug us at all times...to cuddle and nurture us! God loves us more than we could ever imagine...when we stray, fall away, and even when we obey----talk about unconditional love!

Is there anything sweeter?

Is there anything sweeter
than the miracle of life?
Is there anything sweeter
than knowing God entrusted your child to you?
Is there anything sweeter
than being a parent?
Is there anything sweeter
than cuddling with your child?
Is there anything sweeter
than unconditional love?

2 kids

NO, I am not pregnant yet. I had the opportunity to learn a little about watching 2 kids at once this week. Our friends needed me to watch their son, Jack, on Monday. I was a little nervous thinking that watching Braxton was tiring enough - but everything went well. They were well behaved, played hard together and slept hard, too. Before I knew it, 4 hours had passed and it was time for Jack to go! It was a fun time for everyone. Thank you for trusting me with him, and I am so glad I was able to help.

Hook 'Em

Last weekend was the first of many huge weeks in college football! We began the morning by dressing the family in UT gear (as usual). After preparation of food and beverages, we joined two families in the neighborhood that are originally from Louisiana...and are as big of fans of LSU as we are of Texas!!!! The plan was to watch Texas beat ou at 11am and then watch LSU beat Florida that evening. Lucky for us it was a WIN - but not so lucky for them. We had so much fun, though. Thanks for the fried turkey and other new yummy recipes I want to add to my repertoire...including a delicious margarita concoction.

This is one of my favorite outfits! It was also one of Hunter's...I can't believe Braxton fits into it now. Where has the time gone?

The State Fair of Texas

There is nothing like it!!!! Food, rides, food, games, food, museums, food, parades, food, car shows, food, exhibits, food & FOOD! This was Braxton's first experience and by the look on his face, I think he enjoyed it. No need to ask - yes, he chowed down on his first Fletcher's corn dog.
