Healing

Braxton has been battling an eye infection, which the doctor calls conjunctivitis, for two weeks now. It's not 'pink eye' like we know it, because he doesn't have any of the nasty discharge or anything coming from his eye. It started out looking like broken blood vessels, like he may have poked himself in the eye. It then became raised and scared me into thinking it was a tumor and would affect his vision. (I know I'm a paranoid mother, but I have every right to be!) The doctor assured me that it was not. It was just a viral infection and it would heal in no time. Each morning it looks better and each afternoon it looks worse. I now have to contact a pediatric opthamologist! Would you please pray for healing for Braxton? It doesn't bother him at all - his vision seems to be the same (tracking objects, etc), he doesn't rub it and his sweet and happy temperament has never wavered. I know God can perform miracles, and we hope you will join us in praying for the miracle of healing!

So, this was the before photo when I left the house this morning...I was totally getting butterflies!

Here is my braided ponytail that was cut off. I'm not sure how long it was. And the pile of hair was cut after the initial chop! She couldn't believe how much hair I have (had).

Say Goodbye!

I am about to leave for the hair salon! I am having my hair cut (about 12 inches). I am excited but nervous, too. It's been growing for approximately 5 years, and the time has come to donate it again to Locks of Love. Check back later to see before and after photos.

Our first post!

We've been asked by many people to start a blog...so we are learning how to do this! Hang in and keep checking back, as we are sure to get better. Today we went to the Seton NICU graduate picnic. As you all know, I was in the NICU for 10 days. It was fun to see my favorite nurses that took such good care of me.
