Good Friday

Luckily we have lots of family nearby, so we spent Good Friday at my mom's farm in Leonard. Of course the children immediately want to 'ride rides'!!! With 5 grandchildren that are able to WANT to ride, we have to get out several toys...tractor, go cart & jeep....soon we will have to purchase more toys! :)

4th row rangers

my sister got tickets at work & invited me and b-man! it was AWESOME. 4th row!
it took a little convincing from my hubby for us to go - the weather was NOT GOOD. but, he was right, it passed in time and it was worth the drive.other than the fact that Braxton was ready to leave after 45 minutes, we had a lot of fun.
I must credit him...it was bedtime, the Rangers were losing (horribly), and he couldn't move around like in the cheap seats. We found several things to entertain him, though.

simply straight

i decided to straighten my girls' hair again...my first attempt was with ayla. not a pretty sight! now that their hair is MUCH longer and more full, i tried again. they are adorable either way, and their curls are to DIE for! this was just for fun, just to play :) they enjoyed feeling like they were at the salon :) ha.
i haven't updated lately - but everyone is doing well. evie has really become a mini-braxton in almost everyway! here you can see her tackling ayla, and hugging and smiling, too!

bluebonnet bust?

you decide!
with twins (almost) one and a half and older brother (almost) three and a half ...was this photo session a bust or a success?
factors to consider: it was near the twins nap time, i was the only adult, it was near the highway and my children NEVER sit still! good luck with backgrounds, lighting and focusing on the move.
the beginning - walk up the hill - all three in the same shot
once up the hill - they all went a different way
this is me chasing eviei got ayla to sit and smile - miracle had to get them to focus on the flowers in order to sit stillbraxton was on his own most of the time. i do LOVE this - if only it were closer.

full weekend

saturday morning we worked in and outside the house to prepare for company.
saturday afternoon renee, ryan and case arrived.
we played and visited for a few hours. sadly, but thankfully, ryan and renee were there to care for our kiddos while we attended a wedding and reception.
ayla, case, evie ryan attempting to control braxton ... jk ... having fun playing rough
looks like case isn't thrilled about this possible future game evie and ayla play in case's sleeping tent
after the festivities my dad and step-mom were able to relieve renee and ryan & in turn they were able to meet us out at our favorite dance hall...red river =) woohoo! we enjoyed having a night out together. sunday morning we all relaxed a bit & then it was time to head to arlington - that's right - texas rangers baseball! we took braxton, and my step-sister stayed with the little lovies. it was a special (spoiled) day. we were at the VERY top of the stadium - but it was PERFECT! shade, wind and a great view.

Besides agreeing to the fact that he had a spoiled day, the sweetest thing was it took Braxton about 30 seconds to fall asleep in bed that night and almost immediately after dozing off, he yelled out, "go rangers"!
