(this is a late post, sorry)
july 9th is my mom's birth date...this year it fell on a friday. david happened to be off of work early that evening, so i planned a surprise for my mom.
just about a month or so ago, she moved to her 'farm house' out in leonard, texas ....approximately 1 1/2 hours away from us. we had not been out there to visit despite all of her invitations. this weekend was no different. she asked if we could come and we declined.
but, i had coordinated with my sister and her family to surprise mom on friday evening with a house full of kids and grandkids. (and birthday dinner)
