my boys

halloween

we had several "trick or treat"ing festivities this year.
maw, paw and hunter joined us as we went to the trail of treats at forney community park.
we met up with our friends jim, marie & their twins - no pics :(
and heather and kane

the next evening we went to FBC "trunk or treat"

finally, david and i took turns taking braxton door to door - traditional style - on halloween evening.
it was fun to see him get so excited at each house.
LOVED this outside a friend's house. (must make for next year)

state fair

the in-loves visited, my mom visited (didn't get any really good pics - just good memories)
then it was time for the state fair. we went on my birthday this year; it's only fitting. it's one of my all time favorite things!  now it's even more enjoyable watching my children have so much fun. like last year, my friends from austin joined us.

new and old

NEW
Braxton has a new best friend these days :)  After joining the gym in August, we met Heather and her son, Kane. Braxton and Kane are a few months apart in age and get along very well.  So, needless to say, instant friends. Heather treats all my babies like her own. She is just precious. This day we went to the park in Forney - it was a fun day.

Check out the healthy snack :)
Kane riding Braxton's bike (first time) ... oh, and Evie helping.

 OLD
While at the park, I ran into an old friend's mother.  I'm so glad she recognized me!  Her daughter and I were friends in high school, and I had no idea they were living in Forney!  She had her grand-daughter with her, Ava. So, my babies were able to meet my friend's baby!

Love Ava's face in this one...why are there two of you?

sick and sweet

In the beginning of October we experienced a terrible virus that hit each of us a day at a time. YUCK.  But, while each child was recovering, they were so sweet!
Braxton sharing Lego's and letting the sissies help with the towers - huge!

October Overload

So, the month of October flew by & and I am, again, WAY BEHIND here.   So, I will do what I can to update quickly.

That's MY Girl

braids and birthday

tia loves her girls and loves to "do" their hair.  i slap a bow on top and call it a day.  those curls are to die for. but tia knows the tricks to keep them still and is great at managing their manes :)
first braided pigtails!

paw's birthday! He wasn't sure who we were singing to until we got to the "Happy Birthday Dear Pawpaw". So sweet.
 girls lovin' on Mawmaw!

forward facing

this is typically a milestone at age 1.

but the law in the lone star state requires children to remain rear facing in car seats until they reach age 1 AND 20 pounds.  as you can tell from my AND, the weight requirement was the kicker for us.  the american academy of pediatrics also RECOMMENDS that children remain rear facing until age 2.  but that is only a suggestion at this point  in texas (not law) if the other two requirements are met.

our little petites finally 'bulked up' enough to be granted approval for the big day!  i am behind in blogging (imagine that)...so this joyous event actually took place on september 15.

i think i heard the car seats and van thank me & mawmaw for the thorough cleaning, too!

check out my BIG GIRLS.

oh, fyi: they were 22 months and 12 days when this happened.
